GCSE Music Exemplar Composition Briefs

I welcome that resources are placed on this site and are a useful tool for teachers. With the Exemplar Composition Briefs, I feel they may be a little too brief. Maybe there needs to be an idea behind the brief, for instance. As a member of a performing arts group, you have been challenged to compose a short ternary piece of music in a Baroque/Classical style for a TV commercial. The music needs to be 1 minute - 1 minute 30 in length and be written for a string quartet/quintet or Piano. Embellish the music with Trills, Turns or Mordents suitable for this time period. I think it just gives the student a little more vision and direction. James.
