Imperfect tense sentence practice (-ar, -er, -ir verbs)

Write each sentence in the correct order in the template provided. Note: The verb must be conjugated in the imperfect.

There are 10 sentences for every verb type (-ar, -er, -ir) for a total of 30 sentences. A structred template is provided for students to write their sentences.

A table with -ar, -er, -ir verb endings is also included for reference.

Note: All sentences are about habitual actions

Example:

  1. Yo / hablar / cada día / con mis amigos

  2. Marcos / por lo general / correr / con sus hermanos

  3. A veces / pedir / vosotros / la comida Mexicana

This practice can be used when students are first introduced to the imperfect. It can be used for classwork, homework, quiz, entry or exit slip (broken up into sections).

Pages 1-6 are the practice and pages 7-12 are the answer key.
