This PowerPoint contains 6 different lessons suitable for KS3 (Y7-9) as an introduction to keyboard skills, basic music theory and learning to read sheet music as well as many starter activities.
I made this resource around December so some of the content is Christmas themed, I have no spit the PowerPoint into weeks as I know each class can be different in terms of ability, this gives you the freedom to change slides around to suit your lesssons best.
This PowerPoint works with all GCSE exam boards.

The starter activities include:
Unscrambling Music Words
Guessing the Song
Working out note lengths and values
Guessing the piano note name
Guessing if notes are higher or lower

Pupils Learn:
How to use the correct technique and fingers when playing the piano.
Learning the basics of music theory and how rhythm/ melody fit together.
How to read note values.
How to name notes and their values.

Assessment:
This PowerPoint includes a marking grid and tracking sheet to mark pupils work.

All the answers for this PowerPoint are animated so the pupils can’t see the answer but you can.
