KS2 Music Overview & Progression Grid

Here is a full year’s music curriculum overview for KS2 Music, in addition to a knowledge and skills progression document across Years 3-6.

Take the hassle out of planning music. All units with the TD Music Education logo show half termly units which have planning and resources available to purchase separately. These have been planned by a primary music specialist with over 18 years classroom teaching experience.

Please note that some of the units can be found on the BBC 10 Pieces website or other external sources. These have been referenced on the Key Stage 2 Overview, with a web link to the resource.

The progression document shows a full breakdown of the different aspects / strands of the music curriculum, and clearly shows how knowledge and skills progress through the 4 years at Key Stage 2.
