Las vacaciones y los viajes: Listening

Listening Comprehension Exercises take a lot of time to prepare. I save you the time and offer you the exact vocabulary that the Descubre 1 book uses for L5: Las vacaciones. I also make sure that my resources recycle previously learned vocabulary and Grammar, ONLY from the Descubre series.

This resource focuses on the FIRST section of the Lesson: Las Vacaciones y Los Viajes. You will find a powerpoint with 70 multiple choice style slides. They cover all possible variations of the vocabulary words in the above mentioned section: el inspector de aduanas, la inspectora de aduanas, los inspectores de aduanas, OR el avión, los aviones, la cabaña, las cabañas, etc.

This resource has a student version and a teacher version with a KEY. You can use the powerpoint with or without the accompanying worksheets. When you use it by itself, it turns into an excellent tool for “La Mosca” type of games, spelling bees, spelling races, Ticket out the door, Bell work, etc.

If you use the powerpoint with the accompanying worksheets, you will be able to engage students with the vocabulary in many ways. I have prepared for you different answer sheets.

You, as the teacher can choose to give them five questions at a time, ten, all 70 or just a few. You choose the pace and rigor of the activity.
