I pulled the following slide show together and delivered it to Year 9, 10 and 11s in assembly.
The topic was Numeracy and the importance of this in everyday life.
Starts by showing off how familiar students actually are with numbers and how many cultures have contributed to the wonderful history of numbers. The moving onto the great development with regards to counting that numbers allowed.
Then move on to their use e.g. jobs, school but finishing on using maths so you can't be made a fool of and make the correct decisions in your life.
