An activity with solutions catering for a wide range of ability.
The first activity is where students need to be able to follow instructions to construct and cut out, manipulate the shapes to form a rectangle, and calculate area and perimeter of rectangles. There is also a challenge for more able students.
The second activity is for younger or less able students, where the teacher prepares the shapes beforehand and then can ask the students to form a rectangle, or give the students the shape of the rectangle for them to fill in with the shapes (like a jigsaw).
