Each of my podcast entries comes with a vocabulary section, a comprehension section to develop the spanish language on the topic, a summary section and then translation into and from TL. The entry also comes with a suggested answer sheet that you adjust, should your exam boards require it.

This podcast script, titled “Modern vs. Traditional Families in Spain: Change, Diversity, and Progress,” traces the evolution of family structures in Spain from the conservative, Catholic-based traditional model during Franco’s dictatorship to the more diverse and progressive family units prevalent today. The podcast highlights the significance of major legal and social changes, including the legalization of divorce, same-sex marriage, and adoption rights for LGBTQ+ couples. The script also explores the changing roles of men and women, the influence of the Catholic Church, and the impact of assisted reproductive technologies on family life. By drawing upon statistics and discussing the social and political context surrounding these changes, the podcast offers a comprehensive overview of how the definition of family has expanded in Spain, becoming more inclusive and reflecting a more progressive approach to family rights and diversity.
