Practice: Indicative, infinitive, or subjunctive

For each set of sentences, first write the indicative (present tense) and present subjunctive conjugation of the infinitive. Then, complete each set of sentences using the infinitive, indicative (present tense) or subjunctive from the template.

Verbs used: hablar, comer, escribir, hacer, salir, ser, estar

There are 7 sets (21 sentences total)

Example:

Infinitive: Hablar

Indicative (present tense): (Yo) / Answer: Yo hablo

Present subjunctive: (Yo) / Answer: Yo hable

  1. Yo quiero _________________ con Miguel. (Answer: hablar)

  2. La profesora quiere que yo __________________ en español. (Answer: hable)

  3. Es obvio que yo _____________ mucho con mis amigos. (Answer: hablo)

Answer key is included on pages 3-4. This practice can be used for classwork, homework, review, quiz, entry or exit slip.
