Practice: Poder and tener que infinitive

Part 1: Complete each sentence using the following guidelines:

1. In the first blank write the present tense conjugation of poder

2. In the second blank write the present tense conjugation of tener

3. In the third blank, choose and write the correct infinitive (-ar, -er, -ir) using the word bank provided.

*10 sentences total

Example:

Word bank: dormir / mirar / visitar

1. Yo no ________________ hacer mi tarea porque yo ______________ que __________________ mi programa favorito.

Part 2: Write what each person has to do by each day of the week. In the last column use a different infinitive for each person and add 3-4 words to expand on your sentence. (7 sentences total. A structured template is provided for student responses)

Ex: Para lunes yo ______________ + que + ________________________

Answer key is included on pages 3-4 for part 1 only. For part 2, student answers will vary.
