I specialised in music during my teacher training and the new curriculum was published during my final year at university. As part of a curriculum design project, we had to create progression documents for music in line with the new curriculum from EYFS to Year 6 for both the 6 musical aspects (composition, instruments, improvisation, singing, notation and history) and the 7 musical dimensions (structure, pitch, rhythm, timbre, texture, dynamics and tempo).
I would consider these written for a music specialist. They will not necessarily fit into an existing scheme (such as Charanga) so if your school uses one of these, please be aware that these documents will need adapting!
