Regular preterit sentence activity

Sentence activity with regular preterit verbs (-ar, -er, -ir)

Complete each section with these guidelines:

1. No collaboration or on-line translators

2. In column A, choose a clue word (ayer, anoche etc) from the list provided.

3. In column C, choose the correct verb conjugation to match the subject.

4. In column D, add 4-5 words to expand on the sentence. Your sentence must make sense.

• Students will be provided with -ar, -er, -ir verbs and clue words (ayer, anoche etc)

A template is provided for students to write their sentences.

Students will write a total of 18 sentences (6 -ar, 6 -er, 6 -ir)

Verbs used:

-AR: hablar, ayudar, comprar, mirar, trabajar, escuchar

-ER: beber, comer, aprender, correr, vender, comprender

-IR: vivir, salir, recibir, escribir, abrir, compartir
