Spanish adjectives: Open ended practice

Part 1: Complete the table below by choosing an adjective of personality and an adjective of nationality from the word bank below. Be sure that your adjective agrees in number and gender with the subject, as indicated by masculine and feminine (singular and plural). Do NOT repeat any adjectives. (16 total)

Adjectives of personality: simpático / cómico / gracioso / divertido / interesante / inteligente /amable (friendly) / popular / trabajador / bajo / alto / fuerte / atlético / deportista / perezoso / hablador / sincero / honesto / considerado

Adjectives of nationality: americano / mexicano / boliviano / chileno / salvadoreño / dominicano / puertorriqueño / argentino / ecuatoriano / nicaragüense / venezolano / español / francés / inglés / portugués / italiano / alemán / paraguayo / uruguayo

Example:

Subject + Gender / Number + Adjective of personality + Adjective of nationality

Part 2: Using your responses from table one, write an original sentence for each subject in the template below. Each subject must match the correct conjugation of ser. (Students will write 16 sentences in a structured template). Note: Sentences will utilize all 6 conjugations of ser.

Template: Subject + Conjugation of ser + Adjective of personality + y + Adjective of nationality

This practice can be used in Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 classes. It can be used for classwork, homework, quiz, review, entry or exit slip.

Suggestion: Copy page 1 (table) separately from pages 2-3 (sentences) so that students do not have to flip pages.
