The game Trapdoor (Guess my sentence) is an excellent way to get young students confidently practising vocabulary and speaking in Spanish, and the same time they develop their listening skills! The game is ideal for pair work but I often start playing against the whole class until they are familiar with the rules. Start by choosing the options to form your sentence. Students take turns to guess the sentence. If the guess correctly the get a nod and they continue guessing, if they guess wrong, they get buzzed and they have to start at the beginning of the sentence.
