Unit of study to accompany the Year 2 topic about hospitals through history and the work of significant individual Florence Nightingale. For this unit of study, students act as if they are in Florence Nightingale’s first school of nursing in the late 1800s, combining history with language learning (CLIL methodology).

Students learn** body parts** in Spanish and how to say “Me duele …” while revising numbers and colours. All 4 skills can be exercised through the included lesson resources.

8 page activity book included (with 2 differentiated levels) which acts as the children’s “nursing school training guide”.

Can be used to structure a sequence of around 5 lessons.

The resources are designed for use with a Spanish version of the song Head, shoulders, knees and toes. Recommeneded video noted on the pdf.

Tried and tested with Y2 who LOVED this unit!
