Teaching students about notes on the staff can be difficult, but you can make it fun with games! Use this Staff War card game to help students line and space notes in a fun way. It’s perfect for elementary music centers, sub plans, beginning band, piano lessons, and more!
This set includes treble clef notes from middle C to high G. It also comes with sharps and flats.
To play:
Students get into pairs. Split the deck of rhythms in half.
Both students flip over the top card on their decks.
The students with the highest pitch takes both cards, and put them at the bottom of the deck.
If they tie, flip again. Winner takes all.
When one person has all the cards, they win.
Staff War is available in color and black and white. Includes all notes from middle C to high G. Notes come in natural, sharps, and flats. (On separate pages, so you can just use the ones that your students know).
Each natural cards occur 4 times, each sharp and flat card occur twice.
Pair with the Bass Clef Staff Wars to practice all of the notes on the staff.
