I created this resources as part of my PGCE interview preparations for Religious Education and thought it would be useful to share for those who went through the same process as me as I know it is a very anxious and nerve racking experience. While, I this for a Secondary subject specific interview, the questions will remain the same regardless of subject or level, inc. primary, secondary and FE.
Included in the grid are questions that I was asked and those which I found through research to be the most likely questions to be asked. Most of the time they key questions always asked are - why do you want to be a teacher, why do you want to teach this subject, a behavior management questions, a safeguarding question and a subject knowledge question as well as others which are included. So, it is a good idea to have a solid idea of how you would answer these questions and be prepared - remember you are showing them your potential as a teacher!
I personally printed them and noted down some answers so I had a prompt when I was asked them. If you have an online interview (like I did because of COVID-19) then you could display them around your camera to prompt your responses but remember don’t stare at them or focus on them too long as you don’t want your interviewer thinking that you’re distracted.
If you want to ask me any questions or would like advice, tips or ideas etc, with regards to PGCE or ITT interviews then please do not hesitate to get in touch either by the below contact or my Edu Twitter profile of @SENDISaundersRE where you can DM me.
Good luck!

I created this resource, as a guide to help teachers mark students work, a handy poster to display in offices, staff room, classrooms near teachers’ desk or to give to all teachers to keep/glue to their planners. Designed to make marking quicker, easier and more effective to both teachers and students.
Helps teachers focus on the strengths, improvement and response from the student. A guide to marking in the form of a traffic light system; green, amber and red illustrated through emoji expressions. Also, includes a section where teachers can check if they have included a set of things when work has been marked… Can be integrated into lessons to help check students understanding of the lesson and errors made during work…AfL!
Should be used in conjunction with my ‘Whole School Literacy Marking Codes’ to encourage concise, organised and effective marking feedback across the work school, all ages and all subjects. Teachers should aim towards this to give students effective and thorough guidance on what they can do to improve and how they can go about this… #CPD
Teachers should aim to try and encourage positive praise in the classroom; this can reduce behavioral issues, promote good well-being and participation in the classroom. A section includes how teachers can praise positive work from students work that has been marked… #STARStudent = 100%!
A colourful and bright poster to help teachers improve marking, making it easier for all. #GetYourLearnOn

I created this resource to be used a display in classrooms to show students of classroom rules and expectations. It’s a simple A4 sheet which shows what students should aim to do and follow whilst they are in the classroom. Making sure they are prepared for learning.
The poster could be printed in large and displayed in a prominent place in the classroom. Or you could print them in small and glue them into students’ books or diaries, to make sure they always know what the rules are and what they should strive for in your classroom. Focusing, on the fact that students should be prepared for learning, they should – dream big, try new things and not be afraid to make mistakes, believe in themselves and work hard.
All rules are skills and concepts that students should strive for to achieve, believe and aspire in the classroom and in their learning!

I created this resource to be used as a plenary activity. It’s designed to hone in on students understanding of a specific topic; reflecting on our learning, Taking the format of bright ideas and knowledge gained from students.
Students should write what they have learnt, any key words and what they need to practice in the space provided, as explained on the sheet activity.
This resource is bright, colourful and engaging, which should reflect students bright learning and ideas. This resource is great for a classroom display project to show off students bright and knowledgeable learning. For maximum use print in colour and print 2-per-page to save on ink!
Although, its suggested to be a plenary activity it could be also be used as a starter to see what students know about a specific topic or a recap of what they learnt last lesson… The list is endless!

Three different tickets, with different types of activities. Allows students to pick a ticket, letting them have the responsibility to summarise their learning. Each ticket gives students’ the chance to rate their learning within the lesson and record the date and learning objective.
A bright and colourful resource to gain the attention of any student! For maximum use print in colour and cut each ticket individually.

I created this resource as a lot of students use fidget spinners, but are distracting in the classroom environment. But with this resource students have the chance to use their fidget spinners in a fun and engaging way, but is also beneficial to you as a teacher because you can assess your students learning! This resource gives you the opportunity to see how well your students have learnt; what they enjoy, what did they struggle with, what do they need to work on more. Thus, allowing you to put extra practice in next lesson.
In total, there are 8 different cards with 7 activities on each, so 56 different plenaries in total. Each card has a set of instructions, explaining to students what they need to do. With a table where they can write in their responses if they wish.
This is a colourful and bright resource, which I bound to grab student’s attention! I would suggest printing these cards of in colour and laminating them to get maximum use off them.
To spin the plenary students can use fidget spinners, or they can use any other type of spinning device, if you prefer.
Let us know what you and your students thought… Tweet us pictures, ratings, how you used them and what your students though of this resource… @AllRoundRes… Use the hashtag… #AllResPlenary
