Hi, This Interactive white board activity allows your children to spot the odd sounding word out and play ‘Into the black hole’…a game that sees the child dragging the pseudonym (alien word) into the black hole and into oblivion. The real words stay in front of the black hole and the alien disappear behind the center of the hole. The game is accompanied by a worksheet that can be used in conjunction with the IWB or without. The resource is editable so feel free to tinker to suit the sound and needs of your class. In most slides you can edit the words. This resource allows you to take your class through a step by step tasks that will see all your pupils achieving a fabulous piece of writing that is modeled but allows all your class to come up with differing pieces of writing. The slides allow discussion and partner work. The rainbow strips can be cut up and placed on tables to allow the children to chose their own structure of their writing. Hi, This resourse focus on allowing the children to engage in key critical thinking skills and practice their skills in place value, adding and subtracting. The 20 questions vary from asking the children to Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction and reading and writing numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals and number names. I’ve included a word version so you can edit the questions to suit the needs of your class. Here’s some suggested ways to use this resource. Cut them up and laminate them- place them on the tables and ask your pupils to collaboratively solve them. Stick them in the children’s books and get them to answer them. After the children have solved a few ask them to place them in order of difficulty - ask them why and what they found most difficult. This resource is intended to help you model how the Singapore Bar Model can be used to create links from concrete to abstract concepts such as addition and fractions. This includes 25 plus slides and a whole addition lesson with differentiated main and plenary. The starter includes a mental - counting in 5's starter and modelling of bar method. WALT - Add multiples of ten to one digit /two digit numbers. The main has 4 differentiated blocks of number sentences. Hi, This resource is great for whole lessons. You can model writing a sustained piece and structure how to add depth and creativity to a paragraph/short/long piece of writing. I’ve played around with how I use this presentation, here are some suggestions, and if you find better ways then please share your good practice. 1. Print slides and allow children to use as prompts for writing about a stimulus. 2. Show children stimulus and then do some talk for writing, than ask them to write sentence/paragraph 1 and then share with class. Repeat process for all 6 sentence types. 3. Print the slides and cut the strips up. Allow children to mix and match to create different structures. I really hope that this resource is useful. Many thanks

This interactive whiteboard game is fab! Boys and girls love it. I use this to test children's reading skills and use it to model sounding out words. The children must come up and drag car to the correct word. The children can also play in pairs and challenge one another. I have made 3 versions and one maths version using Numicon. This takes a little prep to do but my children enjoyed the freedom of moving about to get the tokens and match them to the definition of the term. It is fully editable so please feel free to add/remove terminology or create your own version. This resource includes 2 worksheets in which the children must solve what term is what and then write an example. They must finally find the terminology token and stick in correct box of the sheet.
