Find 4 Things - War Horse (AQA GCSE English)

(0)
8 ‘Find Four Things’ activities based on War Horse to practise question 1 from AQA GCSE English Language Paper 1. May be particularly useful for students with SEND or are otherwise struggling and need a little bit more practice with this skill - they were originally designed to help a student I tutor who has an EHCP. This is a not-for-profit resource which will only ever be shared freely and for educational purposes. Page numbers relate to the following edition: Morpurgo, Michael, War Horse (London: Egmont, 2007)

AQA GCSE English Language P2 - The Poor in Prison

(1)
AQA GCSE English Language Paper 2 - Section A (Reading) I created this mini-mock focusing on the treatment of the poor in prison for my Y11 class to help them with their revision. It contains two non-fiction sources and a sheet of questions in the style of the AQA GCSE English Language exam. All feedback welcome. The sources contained within have been adapted and reproduced for educational purposes and not for any commercial gain. This resource will only ever be provided for free and not sold.

AQA Language Paper 1 - Little Match Girl

(2)
AQA GCSE English Language Paper 1 - Section A (Reading) I created this mini-mock focusing on The Little Match Girl for my Y11 class to help them with their revision. It contains one fiction source and a sheet of questions in the style of the AQA GCSE English Language exam. I have also included a document showing indicative content which may be worthy of marks for each question. Please note that I am not an examiner. I created this resource with my own students in mind and the indicative content in the “mark scheme” is my best estimation of ideas which might be credited in an exam scenario. All feedback is gratefully received. The source contained is an out-of-copyright short story written in 1845. It has been reproduced for educational purposes and not for any commercial gain. This resource will only ever be provided for free and not sold.
