Here is a 2nd set of engaging lessons with a variety of activities for the start of the 9-1 Anglo-Saxon and Norman England topic.
It includes 6 full lessons with the resources required to teach them (Pearson textbooks will also be needed).
I have also included a revision game resource as a bonus.

This lesson does NOT require the use of any accompanying textbooks. All of the resources needed are included (some are from the Holocaust Educational Trust).
The lesson encourages the students to investigate the the beginning of persecution against the Jews.
The lesson includes a range of activities including comparing and contrasting laws against the Jews as well as analysing testimonies from survivors. Differentiation by colour is used (red=least challenging up to green=most challenging).

This planning template is really useful for introucing your GCSE students to the 16-mark ‘How far do you agree…?’ exam questions with Edexcel. This one has modelling for the Anglo-Saxon/Norman topic but it the template is the same structure as the 16 mark questions in many other topics and so can be easily adapted.

Here is a table designed to encourage students to assess the advantages and disadvantages of a range of sources in preparation for the Historic Environment part of the Edexcel 9-1 exam.
