I am a super dyslexic teacher, with a dash of ADD, all my resources are built with access in mind, because honestly, if they weren't I wouldn't be able to read them. Note the pastel tones, chunking and clear notation ques. As such my resources are also super easy to scaffold or stretch, and definitely easy to replicate.
Please enjoy, and hang in there, at whatever school you're at, I can guarantee that those kids need you in their lives a lot more than you realise.

KS4 AQA B14.1 Evidence for Evolution
Starting with a short knowledge recall starter.
This resource walks you though exactly what a fossil actually is, how a fossil forms, provides clear links to adaptation and competition and has some extension challenges for pushing some discussion with the class and hitting that all important class differentiation. Full subject knowledge is not required.
The lesson finishes with an extended discussion on the evolution of a horse, then a challenging exam question and finally a simple plenary.
If you like this resource please subscribe, rate, follow and look out for more from me :) I plan to revamp all of my older resources to a v2 over the course of this year, a big undertaking.
Enjoy
Heart dissection classes are amongst the hardest and most daunting, partly because its difficult, its new with new tools and most of all because our boys have a terrible habit of lying about how squeamish they really are!
This single worksheet and one heart between two students is all you need for a top notch quality learning lesson, no slides required!
The worksheet shows a butterfly style heart dissection, so called as the front and back are seperated and if performed correctly resembles a gruesome butterfly, you will have access to each blood vessel, all valves and have a ver identifiable structure you can reference to in workbooks.
Tips for best practice
-Practice by yourself first!
-Show each step by webcam onto the big screen, or even better Discord can stream to multiple ipads/tablets on each desk.
-Make it a competion, biggest bloodclot found, best dissection, most features correctly identified etc.
-Let them mess it up, but show them their success (oh that incision is in the wrong place, but you just found the Aorta!!!)

More importantly though, be weird, be funny, be gross, have fun, play, stick to your routines and find that little spark of madness we all have and electrocute the class with it!
My style of teaching isn’t for everyone, I’m a dyslexic teacher who’s heard it all, my lessons are all catered towards accessibility (because if they were not I’d never be able to read them myself).
Everything is short sharp and to the point, I don’t believe in endless writing, reams of printing, spoon feeding diagrams or pointless activities. Every minute matters!
Be sure to check out all my other resources, as a personal goal I intend to share all my resources at least once because hey, the government isn’t going to make it easier and we both know you are reading this way outside of your work hours.
Enjoy, comment or rate if you can, but most of all hang in there, they need you way more than you realise!

Part 1 of a 4 lesson investigation discovering and proving for themselves that what they know about the differences between animal and plant cells is accurate, the format follows an IMRAD report and will have students presenting and peer reviewing their work for accuracy. Following in great footsteps...

A simple little exercise, students will be briefed on the correct materials to find (some thin bamboo canes are ideal for this) and will make simple bug hotels. Even better if you can arrange a bottle collection in the cafeteria the day or period before! Simple but very effective, the bug hotels will not be pretty but to bugs they are perfect. My class stuck all of ours to an outside wall and it is now home to dozens of different insect species. Students will usually finish building theirs inside of a 20 mins, however the challenge then is to make them look pretty and attractive to bugs, ie: bright colours and landing pads!
