Year 7 Spanish revision cards -

Year 7 Spanish revision cards -

(0)
Start the year getting your class to quickly revise what they learnt in year 7!  Here is a game which can be done as a whole class task where each student is given a card or two and an answer sheet), once they have answered the question/s in the card/s given, they must pass the card on to the person next to them- this way, all the cards will have to go around to each student so everyone gets to answer each card.  This is a set of 39 cards! This would work better with small classes - it can be difficult to manage with larger groups. Alternatively, if more sets of cards are printed out, you can get students in groups and each group would have a set and an answer sheet so all members would collaboratively work out the answers to the questions in all the cards. Great fun and revision out of the way! Whether it’s end of year 7 revision or start of the academic year in year 8. If you want your class to revise in more depth, you can support this game with a worksheet with further revision.

Spanish speaking cards- Questions- Answers

A set of prompt cards to encourage pupils both to ask and answer questions on basic topics. Great to recap topics, promote spontaneity and develop fluency. Cards are colour coded to differentiate and there is a set of cards with prompt instructions in Spanish and another set of cards with instructions in English to stretch and challenge. There is a slide with question words both in Spanish and in English for low ability groups. It supports topics covered in Viva 1. I have used it with several year 7 classes and even with year 8 and it really helped them with progress.

Creative writing - Spanish upper KS3- KS4

Fun lesson plan where students get in small groups to create a piece of creative writing using some prompt cards (a set of random images, not included here) which they pick from an envelop. All teams have to follow a number of steps listed in this presentation in order to make sure they include certain grammatical requirements in each paragraph and they pass their story around to the other groups who then are asked to mark the previous paragraph and add up more details to the story using a pen of a different colour. I also gave each team paper in a specific colour to write or you could ask each team to write the team name on the sheet if you choose to use white paper for all. I have done this lesson with a top set Year 8 and it worked really well. They had a lot of fun and it helped them with develop their writing and team work skills. Really easy to adapt to other year groups and abilities by changing grammar required and giving a different set of cards
