This is from a series of posters I created for revision of the characters in Animal Farm. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam. This poster is of Squealer. Featured in the background is a reminder of who and what Squealer represents: the media, propaganda, namely the Pravda newspaper and its editor. I have included reminders of Orwell’s allegory in all of the posters in this series. Individual student booklets can be made by printing these out in A5, while A4 versions are ideal for general class use. If you’re wanting to display them, they look really good in A3. As well as display, they can be given as a task for students to build on the quotes, linking each one to specific themes in the novel and/or explaining why the trait of the character is significant.
