Played the same way as snakes and ladders (red bricks you slide down, tower of bricks climb up). 5 boards in total which have 22 different words on each. Each word is repeated 2/3 times.
Words are from the spelling lists for year 3 and 4 for the new National Curriculum.
There is a book from each vowel diagraph apart from ear/air/ure which are combined in one book. Whole book is in in black and grey to save on colour ink when mass copying or printing. There is a PDF for each book so saves scrolled through trying to find the one you need.
Activities
Super Searcher (page 2) - find 10 given words that contain the sound
Match it (page 3) - read the word and match it to the correct picture
Read It Write It (pages 4 &5) - mini board game where if they land on a word they read it. Land on a picture they write the word.
Monster Mayhem (page 6) - jumbled up words for the sound
Sort, Write and Draw (page 7) - jumbled sentence that contain one or more words with the sound. They sort it out and write it, then draw a picture about it.
Ideal for sending home.

This pack contains over 100 A5 sized eggs suitable for matching activities. Cut out each egg and laminated for durability. Use as a table top matching activity, a memory game pairs game or a snap game.
A whiteboard pen can be used for the pupils to trace the word.
Flashcards with words lists on the reverse. Word lists taken from Letters and Sounds.
Just print the word list on the back of the picture page. Cut along the dotted lines and words will be on the reverse. Laminate before or after cutting depending on preference
This pack contains matching word and picture cards that cover Phase 2 words. Simply match the broom to the correct hat by reading the word.
They can be used as a matching activity, memory type games, snap or use the picture cards as a writing activity.
There is a file for each phases tricky words. Children colour each section according to the key at the top. Once coloured a tricky word will be revealed.
Great resource to send home.
There is a cake for each Phase 5 sound. The sound is on the cake topper and the cake has pictures and/or words that contain that sound. The cake is my own design and each one is different.
Great to display in the classroom or on a working wall.

Phase 2 Phonic Flowers - Display Version
This pack has a flower for each of the Phase 2 sounds. Each flower is in parts and will need cutting out. For long term use print onto card and laminate.
These can be used as part of an interactive display or a table top where children can attach the petals to the correct sound.
Phase 2 Phonic Flowers -Cut and Stick Version
This pack has a flower for each of the Phase 2 sounds and has been designed as a cut and stick activity. Each flower is black and white or uses grey scale to enable cost effective photocopying.
There is a dotted line around each part to make it easier for younger pupils or those with fine motor issues easier to cut. Older or more adapt pupils may want to cut around the thick black lines.
This pack includes boards for the Phase 2 sounds and boards for the words as in the Letters and Sounds document including a separate board for the tricky words.
How to play:
Player who rolls the highest number goes first. Take turns rolling the dice. Move your counter up the ladder and read the word you land on. If you can read the word you land on you can stay. If you can’t go back to your previous word.
Ideally use a 1-3 dice.
This pack contains 21 games that covers each of the sets, consonant digraphs as well as the vowel digraphs and trigraphs as in the Letters and Sounds document.
How to use:
Print and cut out and picture cards for the game you wish to play. Place the cards in a bag, or turn upside down. Each pupil in the group take a turn to pick a card. If they can find the basket with the word on their recording sheet they can colour it in.

A fun ocean themed activity perfect for practicing spelling Phase 2 Words.

Sea of Words - Activity
A colourful activity where the children catch a fish and use them to spell a word on their Ocean board. Can be used as a continuous provision activity or as a group activity during phonics. The fish could even be used with a magnetic fishing rod by attaching paper clips. A rainbow fish version is also included for longer words.
Sea of Words -Cut and Stick Version
A black and white cut and stick version where the children cut out the fish and use them to spell a word on their sheet. Can be used as a continuous provision activity or as homework.
This pack includes a set of Match it cards for all the Phase 3 sounds and a set of Make it cards for the words. They can be used as a table top activity.
A preview of how each letter is formed is included as a preview to allow you to see if it matches the font you use.
