This worksheet is intended as a guide for students to take chords and a riff which are provided and to adapt them to fit different musical genres. The genres with specific guidance are Rock, Hip-Hop/Rap, Jazz and EDM although there is also guidance for what to think about if choosing a different genre to these. Each of the named genres have noted features with guidance for students to recreate the given material in their chosen style. There is a chord box with the notes for each chord as well as a rhythm guide for the riff and a drum pattern diagram to get students started. Below them is a suggestion for how these elements could be put together to create a complete sounding piece.
