This PowerPoint presentation is ideal resource to teach your students about this important chapter of history that has remained silent for far too long. I made it after attending international workshops on this subject in 2017 and it contains main information about the topic, describing the main killing sites with quality photos and maps. Between 1941 and 1944, Nazi SS and German police forces, German military units, and locally recruited collaborators killed more than 2 million Jews residing in the Soviet Union (borders of 1941) in mass shooting operations. This practice of extermination has come to be designated as the “Holocaust by bullets” or “genocide by mass shooting.” Note: Although I’ve tried to be sensitive in the selection oh photos for the presentation, due the graphic nature of the subject material, some students may find few photos I have included in the presentation troublesome.
