Year 3 and Year 4 common exception words display.

Words sorted into yr3 and yr4 but all taken from combined yr3/4 list.
Use the PowerPoint to demonstate how the 5 senses can be used to describe a setting.
Children then work in groups to describe a setting from a picture using all five of their senses.
Share ideas as a class before letting the children create and describe their own setting in the next lesson.

This writing template is simple to use with space for a title, pictures and instructions. It is easy to apply this template to any type of instruction writing such as recipes and craft activities.
This editable and interactive word wall is a great retreival strategy to discuss and define key words and vocabulary. Neutral theme is applicable to any subject or age and makes a great starter activity for any lesson.
The Word Wall is pre-filled with key vocabulary linked to properties of materials, but this can be easily edited to suit any lesson, using the instructions on the document.
