Three passages with National 5 style RUAE questions. There are also two PPTs that help pupils to answer these questions. The passages help pupils to develop their understanding and analysis skills and could be adapted for other curriculums.

Each PPT slide had a short paragraph or passage taken from a range of sources (fiction and non-fiction) Underneath each paragraph is three tasks. A Must, A Should and A Could - this allows for pupils to work through each lesson starter at a pace suitable for them. These are analysis based tasks looking at things such as word choice and sentence structure. Would be useful for a class working on Close Reading/Reading for UAE.
