Get your learners talking about kitchen utensils and equipment. Learners are encouraged to name the many illustrated items, describe their use and discuss what skills they will apply when using them. The presentation contains 10 slides and starts by showing all items used in the games. Further slides concentrate on a few skills at a time before bringing all items together again at the end. There is a reminder to ‘think safety’ on each slide. It is left to the teacher to decide how to exploit the slides which are kept simple. A vocabulary list contains the terminology for the items in the pictures. This can be used to differentiate for weaker students. The board game and cards are available in A4 or A3 format. The board game is self-explanatory - The square with the question mark can be determined at will. The cards can be printed for use as mini-flashcards or if printed on card and/or laminated could be used for ‘snap’ or ‘pairs’. This resource features 2differentiated word searches, wholly in French, each with 2 versions, i.e. a picture only puzzle and one showing the words as well as the pictures. 4 puzzles altogether… These word searches can be used in a variety of ways, e.g. give learners a word puzzle to solve first. Then, let them test their memory and spelling later on by asking them to complete the other word search. It doesn’t matter which of the two puzzles learners start on. This resource is a collection of images on the topic of dinosaurs. It is ideally suited for use with students of younger ages and in any language, including ESL. The 48 pictures will surely entice learners to learn about the intriguing dinosaurs. They include how we learn about dinosaurs through fossils, several types of dinosaurs, close-ups of their heads to discuss e.g. how and what they may have eaten, animals with features of dinosaurs to discuss reasons etc… Pictures are presented in various sizes, i.e. 1, 2, 4 and 12 to a page. This allows for a variety of activities, from flash cards to pairs games, depending on the skills of your learners. A PowerPoint presentation features all 48 pictures as well as slide 1 for you to adapt to your needs, e.g. learning aims and an empty slide at the end to allow you to add anything you would like.
