Students must match up terminology with the relevant framework which will consequently both help them revise key terms as well as structure their exam answer appropriately. Answers are included.

Full scheme for ODO used with MA and LA

Concise revision sheet for the AQA literature exam. Students can find it hard to remember information when going between papers and language revision, therefore I wanted everything in one place.

This resource was used with a high ability Y9 group as part of a unit on Current Affairs. It could also be adapted to use for A level English Language. The PP builds towards writing a comparison essay.

PP guide to My last Duchess with a range of questions, grids and printable worksheet. Some questions are taken from other sources however most is my own. This was used with Y11 MA.

PP looking at each poem separately with clear skills and A3 comparison sheet to plan overall answer. Kahoot activities were used alongside this.

Paper 2: Writers’ viewpoints and perspectives Looks at planning answers for Paper 2. The students look at the general ideas behind how to answer each question. This can then lead on to them writing full answers. My class get easily overwhelmed and I found that this broke things down for them. The extract is taken from somebody else and not my own, however I created the activity. Section B revision sheet helps students to quickly brainstorm ideas and reminds them of the mark scheme.

PP will last up to 2 weeks depending on class ability and how long you want to spend on developing writing and peer assessing. The skills numbers match up to Doddle skills however these could easily be changed as the skills are very universal. Focus on improving vocabulary and peer/ self assessment. Images are emotive focusing on 9/11, war and Chernobyl.

2 hour session looking at borrowing and producing a Q3 and 4 answer.

Students learn about Chernobyl with the aim of completing a piece of creative writing. There is a link to a useful clip and self assessment grid included.

Unit of language and occupation lasting around 10 lessons (planned for 2 lessons a week). Ensures that all terminology required by the exam board is given. Includes example assessments.
