Included in these notes are detailed and original analyses of Louis Malle’s use of certain techniques, including camera movements as well as setting, costume etc. These are important things to discuss in order to access the highest marks. In addition, some contextual detail is included within these resources. Not only does this discuss WWII, it also elaborates on the way in which the date of the film’s creation, 1987, relates to the subject matter, as well as Malle’s life and the New Wave of cinema.
