The objective of this activity is to introduce students to science while fostering team collaboration and getting to know each other.
Divide the group and give them the science-themed question cards, students will work together in groups to answer questions and share their responses, simultaneously introducing themselves to their peers and teacher.
The resources include the power point presentation I follow on my first day of Science so that I set expectations for they year and an icebreaker activity.
All resources are editable for you to add or remove items and customise it for your needs.
These slides can be used to teach the unit of “Excretion and homeostasis” following the CIE Cambridge syllabus for 0610/0970/0654/0973 Biology for 2023-2025 and Cambridge IGCSE endorsed book by Jones and Jones, but it is easily adaptable to others. Everything you need to deliver the unit of digestion for GCSE Biology (more than 90 slides, 3 WEEKS OF LESSONS!). It follows Cambridge syllabus (0610) and Cambridge IGCSE endorsed book by Jones and Jones Third edition, but it is easily adaptable to others. The topic is divided in 8 parts:

I designed these 4 worksheets to help my GCSE students in their revision for the unit of human reproduction.
The worksheets contain blank diagrams for them to fully label the structures and add the functions to encourage active learning and reinforce their knowledge.
