I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Length and Perimeter’ Spring Block 4 planning, including resources I’ve used from the White Rose and any additional ones I’ve made to myself to supplement. Week 3 of 3. Week 1 planning incl resources - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/white-rose-planning-year-3-spring-block-4-length-and-perimeter-week-1-of-3-incl-resources-11835631 Week 2 planning incl resources - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/white-rose-planning-year-3-spring-block-4-length-and-perimeter-week-2-of-3-incl-resources-11836573 The starter activities referred to I’ve uploaded separately (they’re on a power point). - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/mental-starters-11805783 This is my own personal planning which I’ll be using in my class in a couple of weeks. Hope you find it useful, it’s not made specifically for TES so there will most likely we some spelling errors etc

White Rose Year 4 - Autumn Block 3 - Measurement: Length and Perimeter - Week 1 (of 1)

I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Measurement: Length and Perimeter ’ Autumn Block 3 planning, including resources I’ve used from the White Rose (turned into an easily printable format and visual PPT to share) and any additional ones I’ve made to myself, or found, to supplement/visual ways to model or teach. This is week 1 of 1. This is my own personal planning which I’ll be using in my class in a couple of weeks. Hope you find it useful, it’s not made specifically for TES so there will most likely we some spelling errors etc The warm ups 1-4 that are included in this planning don’t relate at all to the White Rose topic and is something I’m trialling personally - spending 1/3 of the lesson re-capping and revisiting prior learning. And since it’s my personal planning it’s mentioned on here as I didn’t want to have to delete it all just to upload. If you want to include them in your lesson as well then they’re all uploaded separately elsewhere. Warm up 1 - Write today’s date with Roman numerals (no resource) Warm up 2 - Fluency PPT adding within 20 ( https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/240-addition-and-subtraction-facts-within-20-ppt-resource-self-assessed-11899007) Warm up 3 - always the ‘closing the gap’ PPT where over the year they revisit key ideas from the Y1-Y3 curriculum (Autumn 1 - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/year-4-autumn-1-maths-closing-the-gap-ppt-revisiting-y1-y2-y3-objectives-daily-11942385) Warm up 4 - re-visiting something I know they also need to work on as a class (I tend to do this on the spot/with whatever resources are already in my classroom/sometimes explained in more detail on the planning)

Year 1 Maths Project - Vocab cards

I spent a long time making these cards so thought I would share to save somebody else the trouble! These vocab cards cover all the vocab in the Nottinghamshire 'Maths Project&' followed by some schools.
Writing Target Card

Writing Target Card

I use these in my Year 1 class. I stick them onto card (colour coded to their groups) and write on individual targets. The children have them on their tables during Big Write and at the end of the session they show me their work and together we read back the target and decide if they get a 'tick&'. If they achieve 5 tick they get a class reward, have achieved their target and I stick another target over it - just a tab at the top so you can still see their previous targets. Ofsted love them.

Year 1 - Differientated homework for the whole year (Maths, Literacy, Phonics alternating)

Hi all, I've used this homework for the past 2 years and it's always gone down well with parents. Each bit of homework is differentiated into 4 parts based on the ability groups and colours within my class (can be changed). I've included an initial letter to parents to explain the homework (on the first homework doc). I've never sent homework home to parents in Autumn 1 due to transitioning up from Foundation and the step up in learning already. It usually alternatives maths and literacy each week and then I've included phonics homework for when you near the phonics screening. All the homework was hand made by me, so not just copied resources from elsewhere online. Hope you find some use in it and can tweak it to suit your requirements.

Year 3 - English Non Fiction - David Attenborough documentary (2 weeks planning and most resources)

Hi there, I've included 2 weeks of planning and most of the resources for documentary texts. We plan on a theme for 2 weeks in literacy with the first week ending in a 'Big Write' and then the second week they edit their draft and then have an opportunity to write it up in neat. These weren't written for TES and are the actual plans we use, but may be of use to anybody wanting to plan something similar. Hope it helps :)
Editable book labels

Editable book labels

Hi there, I thought I'd update a set of book labels I made for our school to keep consistency. Each class has an animal name and picture as you will see, each of these is easily changed. We print these onto labels (standard 4 to one A4 sheet) to make it easier to stick onto books. There are 4 boxes in the bottom left, we use these to colour code books and identify for Pupil Premium, SEN, EAL and slow movers. This makes it easier for books scrutiny's but also mean the children won't know what they mean. Hope it helps somebody looking for a whole school theme!

Bridging 10 - visualisation resource - Ten Frame

I've made a PPT of the key 20 number facts (number sentences) that bridge 10. I use this to model on ten frames how to recombine to make 10. I've added animations to show the transition and movement of the coins. e.g. 8 + 7 10 + 5 = 15 Hopefully you find it useful!

Autumn 1 Maths PPT - Warm up - recap Y1/Y2 curriculum

5 minute activity for each session in Autumn 1. Aim is to recap the basic skills taught in Year 1 and Year 2 in starter form. Answers included for children to self assess. Most tasks are differentiated by colour. I've included the overview planning for the terms over the year (subject to change) P.S. I do automatically include mistakes on some of my slides to promote the children to think for themselves and challenge or correct me. Even if these are accidental I leave them on for future uses. We are working on our 'growth mindset' and how learning happens through mistakes - including the teachers.
