The lesson is designed to help you get to know your class, whilst creating a fantastic display for the wall (ideal for the start of the year) Children consider their Values, beliefs, Strengths, skills and hobbies- before creating an autobiographical poem in the shape of a fingerprint.
This lesson is also perfect for an end of year activity, and the poem can then be kept as a keepsake by the pupil.
Ideal for KS1/2 or 3 as the art activity is easily differentiated.

A complete lesson, PowerPoint and resources based around Greta Thunberg’s Ted Talk on climate change.
This lesson begins by looking at the recent ‘School strike for climate change’ movement. It then moves on to explore the features of Persuasive Speeches and the students will annotate the speech to show their understanding. The lesson uses AFORRESTPIE as a vehicle for exploring the features.
