A Whole School set of complete lessons, written for the afternoon of Earth Day, pitched at each of the EYFS, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2 phases. They all touch on the problems posed by plastic pollution. Children learn about the issues and then undertake various tasks. Resource consists of a powerpoint presentation, with printable resources required for the lesson.

Each lesson is also available separately and includes a presentation and all resources. The original text is in the public domain and available online. Lessons are based on the understanding of the text and its themes, as well as narrative, non-fiction and descriptive writing skills. This is a complete 5-week GEOGRAPHY scheme of work, based on the Extremes of Antarctica . Written for Upper Key Stage 1, but easily adapted to suit KS2. Objectives covered: To locate Antarctica and the 7 continents and 5 Oceans To compare conditions in Antarctica and the UK. To locate and identify features of the North and South poles. To find out about a range of explorers who have reached the poles. To understand the importance of preserving Antarctica and what we can do to help. Each lesson comes with all resources and an editable powerpoint. There is also a medium term plan for all 5 lessons.
