GCSE Studio French Module 8 Sentence Auction

(0)
Do your students need help to read texts more carefully? Or to proofread their own work and spot their mistakes? Why not combine these skills with revision of previously covered material by using this sentence auction task? Students start with 100 points. They will be shown a sentence in French with an English translation. They must decide if the translation is correct or incorrect. Students bid points according to how certain they are of their decision. For example they could bid 100 points that the translation is correct, or 50 points that it is incorrect. Each of the question slides contains 6 built-in timers so the teacher can decide how long the students have in order to place their bids. If students guess correctly, they win double the points that they have bid. If they are wrong, the points are lost. The winner is the person with most points at the end. This powerpoint includes 20 slides covering topics from GCSE Studio French Module 8.
