This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on comparing and ordering fractions and is linked to the Year 6 National Curriculum. In total there are six slides: Slides 1, 2 and 4 (teach) - Slide 1/2 include a detailed teaching presentation on how to order and compare fractions with plenty of examples. Slide 4 provides an explanation of how to order a mixture of fractions, decimals and percentages. Slide 3 and 5 (practise) - Children practice ordering fractions (slide 3) and then ordering a mixture of fractions, decimals and percentages (slide 5) Slide 6 (extend) - Children have to find the fraction that is halfway between two fractions. The resource is colourfully designed and can clearly be seen from a distance making it ideal to display on the Interactive Whiteboard and providing you with a straightforward and highly effective teaching resource. Great for a lesson starter, revision or early morning activity. It is aimed at the Year 6 maths objective but can be used at any time during KS2. The slides can be edited to suit the needs of your class but this resource, including the images must not be distributed to others without our permission.

This 58 slide PowerPoint is the perfect revision tool for the KS2 literacy curriculum In total 17 different types of puncutation are covered with each term covered over at least two slides. Slide 1 - a multiple choice quiz where the term is given and the children have to then choose from four possible definitions. Slide 2/3/4 - the correct definition is given. This is then followed by an activity for the children to complete which will consolidate their understanding of the type of punctuation. Depending on the type of punctuation, some have the definition and activity on the same slide whilst others covering 3 separate slides. Terms covered - apostrophe, brackets, bullet points, capital letters, colon, commas, dash, direct speech, elipsis, exclamation mark, full stop, hypen, indirect speech, paragraph, question mark, semi colon, speech marks, The punctuation types are listed in alphabetical order meaning they are quick to locate and use as and when appropriate. This resource is perfect for that little and often revision and can either be displayed on the interactive whiteboard or given to pupils to work through on their own devices. This pack includes guided reading plans for the following text: Millions by Frank Cottrell Boyce (Years 5/6) In total there are 11 guided reading lesson plans, covering each of the sections in the book. Each plan contains a 'reading and responding to the text' activity which is designed to be completed with the class teacher with the reading group. There are then follow up independent activities which the children can then complete during the remainder of the week. All of these activities are closely linked to the new National Curriculum objectives and these are listed at the beginning of each plan. Each plan also has a list of difficult words which the children can check the meaning of before the teacher led session, space to list the names of the children who are working on the text and a space for a teacher notes and evaluation. The plans have been written by an experienced primary school teacher and have been tried and tested in the classroom.
