Students practise reading, writing and drawing CVC words. The worksheets can be used as assessment to check on the progress of individuals and so the worksheets are ideal for small group work. This is a fun matching hands-on activity working with 2D shapes. Aimed at: Early Years/Year 1, SEN and children learning English. <strong>Content:</strong> Ten sets of Shape Match Mats – Set 1 to Set 12 Ten sets of Shape Cards – Set 1 to Set 12 Labels for shapes Shapes used: square, circle, triangle, rectangle, oval, pentagon, diamond/rhombus, heart, star, crescent and trapezium shape. The mats are whole page landscape and should be printed onto card and laminated. Enlarge to A3 and get children to work in pairs to match the shapes. Each mat displays various shapes in different positions, size and colour. For each mat there are sets of shapes which should be printed onto card or good quality paper and then cut out ready for the children to start the matching activity.
