Bring drama into your classroom with this engaging, informative and no prep activity. Exploring the world of conservation and biodiversity, this informative drama circle activity is designed to educate and engage students by adding practical elements to a reading activity. This interactive experience offers a unique way to practically explore the topic of endangered animals. What is a Drama Circle? A drama circle is a practical way to explore information. In drama circle activities, each student gets a card at random. They have to listen for a cue, read a small paragraph in bold and then perform an action or gesture in order to cue the next person. The class collaborate together to make sure they read their cards in order (don’t worry, they are numbered if you get lost!). What’s included? 34 cards including an introduction and summary card Each card features a different endangered animal Each card includes accurate information and current conservation status Teacher Instructions This activity inspires empathy, creativity, and environmental awareness. So, you have to teach students about 32 endangered animals? Instead of reading 32 fact files and highlighting information (BORING), why not try this drama circle? It’s perfect for KS2 and KS3 classrooms and requires no prior acting experience (don’t panic!). It can also be differentiated and tailored to suit various group sizes and confidence levels. With its blend of education and entertainment, this activity promises an unforgettable experience that sparks conversation and instills a passion for protecting our planet’s most vulnerable inhabitants. Persuasive Writing Scavenger Hunt

(1)
Do you want your students to improve their persuasive writing? Look no further! This activity makes learning persuasive techniques fun, practical and memorable! Dive into the world of persuasive language as students search for the techniques around your classroom. This engaging and interactive activity is perfect for learning or revising persuasive techniques. How it works Place the cards randomly around the classroom and give each student an answer sheet. Students walk around the room and read the definitions on the cards. There are examples and visuals also to support students. When they know what persuasive technique is being described, they put it next to the correct number on their sheet. At the end of the activity, I go through the answers with them so there is a teacher sheet included with the correct answers- you can display this on the board to check understanding. Differentiation Options This resource is easily adaptable and can be completed independently, in pairs or in small groups. One idea I use is to pair students up so one stays at the desk writing and the other goes hunting for definitions. Once they are halfway through, they swap roles. Persuasive techniques included are: Repetition Triple (Rule of Three) Adjective Simile Exaggeration Fact Adverb Rhetorical Question Pun Statistics Logic Alliteration Humour Metaphor Anecdote Tone Imagery Direct Address Expert Opinion Emotive Language What’s included? 20 color cards (on 6 pages ready to print and play!) Each card features a different persuasive technique Each card includes a clear definition, an example sentence and a visual Student Worksheet Teacher Instructions and Answer Sheet Like what you see?
