Enjoy this Editable Venn Diagram TEMPLATE to help your students comparing and contrasting two different topics. Venn Diagrams can be used as formative assessments with any topic your students are studying in your (Google) classroom. This resource consists of a Google Slides file, with 2 different versions of the Venn Diagram (Oval and Column Venn Diagram), each with different designs and colored templates. There are editable text fields or text boxes on each of the 16 templates. To edit, simply type into the text fields or text boxes. List the similarities in the middle section and the differences in the outer circles. You can resize the text boxes as needed in order to fit the different parts of the graphic organizer. The background of the Venn Diagram is ‘locked’ and the only thing the students can edit are the text fields and the text boxes. This prevents the students from deleting anything by accident. You will need Google Drive™ in order to access this resource. Your students will also need Google™ accounts so they can access the activity. Sharing via Google Classroom™ is recommended, but sharing through Google Drive™ is another option. The resource can ALSO be downloaded, printed and used as a handout in the classroom. Math Tarsia Puzzle: DIVISION FACTS (DIVIDING BY 1 - 10) In this activity, students will practice division with divisors between 1 and 10, as they piece together the pieces of each tarsia puzzle (5 DIFFERENT PUZZLES INCLUDED). Students will match their answers with a separate puzzle piece until all the math problems have been solved and the puzzle is completed. These MATH TARSIA PUZZLES are a FUN way for students to practice their multiplication facts that doesn’t involve a worksheet. The puzzle activity works well for individuals, as well as small groups. Alternatively, you can set up stations around the room, and have students or groups rotate to each station for a new math puzzle/game. This resource includes: -5 differentiated tarsia puzzles with a different puzzle shape for each -5 answer keys -Teacher directions Suggestions for using this resource: -Print multiple copies of each tarsia puzzle and place the pieces in separate plastic bags for safekeeping. -Print the puzzles on colored paper if you find the black and white version too “dull”. -Print the puzzles on A3 sized paper if you want the pieces extra large. -Laminate the puzzle pieces BEFORE your students cut them out. Math Tarsia Puzzle: MULTIPLICATION FACTS 6 to 9 In this activity, students will practice 1-digit multiplication facts (6 to 9) as they piece together the pieces of each tarsia puzzle (5 PUZZLES INCLUDED). Students will match their answers with a separate puzzle piece until all the math problems have been solved and the puzzle is completed. These** MULTIPLICATION FACT TARSIA PUZZLES** are a FUN way for students to practice their multiplication facts that doesn’t involve a worksheet. The puzzle activity works well for individuals, as well as small groups. Alternatively, you can set up stations around the room, and have students or groups rotate to each station for a new math puzzle/game. This resource includes: -5 differentiated tarsia puzzles with a different puzzle shape for each -5 answer keys -Teacher directions Suggestions for using this resource: -Print multiple copies of each tarsia puzzle and place the pieces in separate plastic bags for safekeeping. -Print the puzzles on colored paper if you find the black and white version too “dull”. -Print the puzzles on A3 sized paper if you want the pieces extra large. -Laminate the puzzle pieces BEFORE your students cut them out. It will allow you to use them for years to come. -Code the backside of each puzzle piece, so it is easier to find which plastic bag they belong to in case they get mixed up with other pieces. In this episode Iain is travelling from Hawaii to the Amazon and Ethiopia and then on to the Mediterranean, Iain tells the story of the oceans – fierce waves, huge tidal bores, global currents and the future dangers of global warming. The worksheet is designed to keep students engaged and hold them accountable while watching the documentary. The questions are relative easy to answer while watching the movie and are not so complicated that they require a great deal of writing. The video guide is printable and no prep is required.
