A foldable designed to engage learners studies nutrient groups. The end result is the student having a fold out resource either in their books or as an external interactive version. There is space left on the sections so you as the teacher have autonomy to instruct your learners to fill in as you wish - I always make sure that when I teach it my learners have included the nutrient group name, functions, examples of foods which contain the nutrients . Also included are 2 worksheets. a factfile research task which could also be used as a homework and a visual hexagon activity in which students are required to make links between the pictures and to explain why each one is important. Create a fractional distillation column which folds open to show the fractions inside. There is plenty of space to colour and for teacher autonomy. Fractions are folded inwards so can not be seen until the cover is taken off. Fractions then fold out. There is also an extended question sheet that is the correct to stick over the inside cover to stretch learners to explain what is happening inside the column. Included is a mark scheme (what points exam boards look for) and a differentiated key points sheet that could be given out or used instead of the extended answers. See photos included for how foldable is fitted together. Foldable pictures are B+W however could quite easily be printed in colour.
