Engage your students as they learn all about the eye as they make an interactive foldable eye that can be stuck in their books. This is an ideal activity if you do not have access to eyes or if students are to squeamish to complete it themselves. A foldable designed to engage learners studies nutrient groups. The end result is the student having a fold out resource either in their books or as an external interactive version. There is space left on the sections so you as the teacher have autonomy to instruct your learners to fill in as you wish - I always make sure that when I teach it my learners have included the nutrient group name, functions, examples of foods which contain the nutrients . Also included are 2 worksheets. a factfile research task which could also be used as a homework and a visual hexagon activity in which students are required to make links between the pictures and to explain why each one is important. A presentation that goes through some common UK woodland flowers that may also be found on your school field and grounds. resource also comes with a worksheet that students can use to investigate these flowers on their own

Students can colour and create an interactive resource that they can stick in exercise books. The flaps lift up to show the effects of either physical, chemical or biological weathering. Students can then describe the process under the flap. Also including is a worksheet to assess knowledge and a teacher guide which contains photos of the finished products.

This is set up as a time saver so you can track what topics have been covered in your department for Y9,10 and 11. It has been formatted so all you need to do is type in the group and set, put the name of their teacher in and then once a topic has been completed type in a 9 for Y9, 10 for Y10 and 11 for Y11. A resource that should be printed back to back (on long edge) and cut out and folded. The circuit names are already printed on the resource and it allows students to research either in a lesson for a homework the symbols. The tabs all neatly fold over in the book, making the key terms stand out. There is also space for teachers/students to add an extra one when and if required.

A presentation that explores some of the most common trees that could be found in your school grounds. Discover their shape, leaves, flowers and seeds. Students can then explore their school grounds and collect leaves from the trees and stick an example on the worksheet. For stretch and challenge learners could create an Identification key which can be used to ID the tree in the future.

Students cut out and colour the layers of the sun. Write the name of the layer/zone and then use the table to research information about it.
