Over the years I have taught English, Maths, PSHE, Film Studies, Media Studies as well as Drama. As a result of teaching many subjects I have spent hours creating schemes and resources so I am hoping this will save you a lot of time. I hope it does. I also have many years experience as a Pastoral Leader / SEN Teacher meaning I also have resources to support effective behaviour management, safeguarding and Special Educational Needs.

Angles Lesson Plan, Power Point and Card Sort

(0)
This angles lesson is created to introduce students to angles within a triangle, and how these vary according to whether it is an isosceles, scalene or equilateral triangle. Students are also encouraged to consider the similarities and differences of these different triangles. There is one section where you will need to insert your own triangle angles questions based on what you use within school. I am unable to do this due to copyright reasons. The lesson starts with a card sort of general angles, a card sort I use at the start of every angles lesson as a bell activity, and build it into a competition as to who can complete it the quickest. This card sort contains the names of angles and has a brief description of the angle.

Stimuli Devising ( 5 Lessons)

(0)
This stimuli devising project includes a power point and a student workbook. It can be used for any devising project, and can be used at both KS3 and KS4. The power point contains lessons where students look at four different stimuli (WB Yeats' He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven, the start of Oscar Wilde's The Selfish Giant, Work Place Discrimination and the story of Malala Yousafzai). Students will then compare and contrast these resources to create an original piece of drama. The above content will be delivered over three lessons. Students will then look at picture stimuli and will compare and contrast two pictures leading to an original performance. I am unable to include the pictures for copyright reasons. The final part of the project will be where students respond to different forms of possible discriminations (Disability / Homophobia / Sexism / Race ). Although this is one lesson, it has potential to be adapted into an assessment that could last for longer. There is a student workbook which enables students to keep portfolio evidence as they progress through their lessons.
The Performing Arts Industry

The Performing Arts Industry

This unit of work looks at the job role of the actor in terms of what qualities are required, which other roles they work with in the industry, and the final piece of work would be the creation of a power point to educate aspiring actors. Students will also research other roles within the acting industry. This would ideally need to be delivered in an ICT room, but could be adapted for the classroom provided case studies of job roles could be provided. There is a unit of work that contains learning objectives, learning outcomes, homework, suggested activities as well as suggested open and closed questions. The unit of work contains six lesson plans. There is a project pack included which involves students exploring Theatre in Education, the purpose, the similarities and differences to theatre as well as the job roles within Theatre in Education. This forms a homework project that supports the unit of work. Some of the resources are included, but actor case studies would need to be printed for one lesson. For copyright reasons I am unable to include these.

Behaviour Management Staff CPD

(0)
This power point looks at how behaviour needs to have a graduated response, and how it is important for all staff to understand what this graduated response should be for each form of behaviour. There are also three scenarios that can be discussed to ensure responses to situations are consistent. I have also created a worksheet that every member of staff can then keep as a reference once the workshop has been completed. This means that when you have established what the first, second, third and fourth responses are for your setting, staff can consistently apply them. This worksheet could be used throughout the year at meetings to keep behaviour management high profile.
