An entire lesson taking students through powers of numbers and letters and the simple application of the three main power laws with positive integral powers. The starter is a 10 question true or false activity to warm students up with basic facts that they should know. The powerpoint talks students through the concept of a power of a number and then of a variable. There is a justificiation of the addition law of powers and then there is use of the division law and the power of a power.
