The main presentation is animated to show where corresponding angles come from. There are then some basic definitions and some worked examples with geometric reasoning. The last few slides are just questions for you to annotate at the board with your class. The spreadsheet contains multiple tasks and so can be differentiated to suit your students. An entire lesson on measuring angles. The starter is a simple differentiated number chain. The powerpoint includes a fully animated protractor and steps on how to use it correctly. The resource that accompanies can be printed to an A4 booklet and should allow a standard school protractor to fit on each angle nicely. The task is differentiated with the easiest angles all being read from the right hand scale. As some students will grasp this quicker I have included a simple coins and totals exercises for those who finish early. Note this lesson does not include measuring reflex angles, as this is rare to examination papers. Perhaps this could be shown in a plenary

A whole fully differentiated lesson which introduces students to simple proportional problems such as "3 cakes cost £4.50, how much will 5 cost?" The powerpoint takes students through the unitary method. The fully differentiated resource (1 star, 2 star, 3 star) can be printed and students can write on the sheet. The resource contains a notes section which, when stuck in their books, gives them a reference. The students select which level of work they wish to work on. Answers are not supplied.

This is the 15th lesson in the AS course devised by myself. The lesson powerpoint will show students how to solve quadratic inequalities by factorising and sketching the curve. A 5 minute starter on recent material students should know is included and there is a generic plenary on the last slide. The resource that accompanies the lesson will allow students to practise the lesson's objective, with the questions matching those explained by you in your exposition. There are 3 levels of differentiation on the resource and this will help your planning of directed differentiation. Resources can be printed so that students can have their own files of notes and examples. This can also be used with KS4

The powerpoint then shows students which label we attach to which digit. It goes into an extension of converting decimals to fractions if so interested. The starter is a differentiated student choice mental addition and subtraction exercise where students must work out the missing number in a chain that gives a certain total. The answers are shown on this. The main powerpoint shows an animated use of a number line as a thermometer but also as a height indicator and as profit and loss. The spreadsheet contains multiple resources which you can chose, many of which are differentiated and all of which are write-on so that students do not have to spend tim drawing things

A simple but effective lesson designed to brush up on students basic addition and subtraction skills under the backdrop of money. This is based on the old SATS questions where students would be asked to make different combinations of coins that gave a certain total. The powerpoint contains a variety of questions and then the resource has multiple tasks on different sheets that you can use to differentiate. Some are interactive and will change by pressing F9 on the sheet, thus creating an infinite amount of variations. Surprisingly challenging and always relevant.

This is really two lessons in one. I use it over two successive lessons. The first lesson covers basic angle sum of a triangle and the second the special case of the isosceles triangle. The starter gets students to estimate 10 angles and then the powerpoint takes students through how to calculate the missing angle in a diagram. The resource contains two booklets that can be printed off in booklet form for the students to write on....thus no time wasted drawing diagrams. The numbers are normally multiples of 5 and so this can be done mentally

The new specification does not specifically refer to the remainder theorem but the classic problems are still worth looking at to get students to practice the skills involved.
