The powerpoint takes students through how we can very simply change a recipe for 4 biscuits into a recipe for 8 biscuits and then evolves to see how we could perhaps change recipes for 6 into recipes for 8 by scaling down and then up. Simple powerpoints to start the lesson which reviews number skills that any students working at the foundation level should be able to cope with. Students have 2 minutes to answer as many questions from the "easy" or "hard" section as they can

When pushed for time, a powerpoint that covers all subjects at the lower end of the foundation spectrum. Students are given an answer sheet and complete the assessment. Every 10 questions they are given the answers and keep a tally of their score. At the end there are some calculations which can be done (the entire assessment is non calculator). This is a flexible lesson on the interior angle sum of an n-gon. The starter is a simple multi choice on estimation of angle size which will help warm the class up. The powerpoint contains both classic ways of teaching this subject: the first few slides come at this from the formula exterior angle = 360 divided by the number of sides when the polygon is regular. The latter slides approach it in a more traditional experimental manner of splitting the polygon into n- 2 triangles. How you deliver the lesson is therefore up to you! Two lessons which slowly take students through the basics of curve sketching. The powerpoints show students how to get a hold of the shape of each curve (quadratic, cubic, quartic, reciprocal), the role the sign of the dominant terms plays and the effect of repeated roots (tangency).
