A speaking resource designed to help students to practise using regular verbs in the present tense to describe events and details in a picture. Regular verb conjugations are provided for reference and prompts are provided to help students to give opinions and use a few useful irregular verbs. In addition, an example sentence beginning is included to guide students and there are follow-up questions for further practice.

An odd-one-out, free-time speaking activity using photos. The aim of the main activity is for students to describe what there is in a photo, to develop their ideas and to make comparisons. The PowerPoint includes differentiated versions for Higher and Foundation Tier, a follow-up activity to help students reflect on their own learning/revision and example sentences for students to take away ideas. Can be used as an introduction to the AQA or Edexcel GCSE Speaking Photo/Picture Card as it encourages description of a photo - the first bullet point of each specification (qu’est-ce qu’il y a sur la photo?/la description de la photo).

A GCSE Spanish homework with translation and writing exercises. Students have to adapt model phrases for the translation and writing to produce their own text for a tourist leaflet. A follow-on activity could be to design and create the whole leaflet, including a corrected version of the text.
