Four questions, ten possible answers. Students seem to like these and can just get on with them as answers appear on the sheet. This only involves the cosine rule.

Using some (clean!) clips from Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail and Life of Brian (5 clips in total) there are some maths questions. Each clip (which has a hyperlink as the embed feature in Powerpoint is messing about) has 3 questions. It was a challenge given to me on Twitter! I found a graphic on Twitter and thought it would make a nice discussion lesson/part lesson on time and number, possibly standard form. Anyway, I made this Powerpoint to get people started.

No real imagination here, just a quick worksheet to stop the students bisecting a horizontal or vertical and bisecting a right angle. Don't expect anything fancy people...

This is designed to help introduce factorising of quadratic equations in order to solve them. This should lead to some discussion.

This allows students to access different aspects of proportion. This covers direct and inverse proportion and could be used as a discussion exercise.

Solve the equations, swap the answers for letters, unjumble and find the sport.

Match up the picture with the ratio with the proportion.

Use the diagrams to help add and subtract fraction. For fairly low ability to help them visualise what's happening.

Sort into three groups - 14 statements. Does what it says on the tin really. It should encourage some discussion in class at the very least.

KS3/ GCSE algebra relating to everyday examples. I wrote this a while ago in a desperate bid to make algebra relate to the real lives of children. You could set up a spreadsheet in Excel and use formulas, or they can do the activity in class.
