Miss Pryde's Primary Resources

Thanks for stopping by! I provide resources mainly for primary age pupils. I am currently teaching P5 (Year 4) so most uploads coming up will be applicable for that age, however I also create many resources which can be used by all teachers! Enjoy :-)

ADDITION | Bonds to 10

Students need to count the different coloured counters and fill in the number sentences to 10. The second section requires them to work out how many MORE numbers are needed to make 10.
NUMBER LINES | 10s and 1s to 100

NUMBER LINES | 10s and 1s to 100

(0)
Students are required to fill in the blank numbers on the number line. The questions get harder as the worksheet continues. Starting with 10s, moving on to 1s with other numbers available. The final 3 questions only have the start point and the end point of the number line, requiring the students to work it out themselves.

NUMBER | Counting in 2s, 3s and 5s

A great assessment activity after learning the 2, 3 and 5 times tables. Students need to colour in the hundred squares to show the 2 and 5 times tables and notice the patterns. Next, they need to fill in the blank stars to complete the 3 times tables. Finally, they can choose a times table of their own to complete the number track.

NOUNS AND ADJECTIVES | Describing a creature

Students need to use their knowledge of nouns and adjectives to describe the creature. There is a visual success criteria checklist at the top of the page that remind them to include capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

CREATE A MENU | RESTAURANT DESIGN |

(0)
A template for the children to create a restaurant menu of their own. I used this with a P5 (year 4) class along with iPads to research Thai food and use descriptive words to create an enticing menu for customers. The template includes a space for the restaurant name, meal name and description and also the price.

'DRAW A 2D SHAPE' CHALLENGE CARDS | MATHS | FAST FINISHER

(0)
These challenge cards are perfect to test the children’s knowledge on 2D shapes and have a go at drawing them. I used them for a P5 class (Year 4). There are 3 different levels (mild, spicy and hot). If challenge is needed, the ‘hot’ card with the 3 chillies require the children to use a protractor to draw the shapes with accuracy and use their previous knowledge of angles to draw them. These challenge cards can be used as a fast finisher task, or as a station activity.

SALES PITCH PLAN | CREATE A CHOCOLATE BAR | PERSUASIVE WRITING

(0)
This worksheet is for the children to plan out their sales pitch for a chocolate bar they will create. It allows the students to discuss in their groups and write down their ideas. I got my students to do this before creating the packaging for their chocolate bar and creating the script for their pitch.

CREATE A SHADOW PUPPET LESSON | POWERPOINT | THAILAND ART

(0)
This is a PowerPoint to go along with a planning worksheet. The powerpoint explains the history of shadow puppets in Thailand and shows some examples including a video of a show in southern Thailand. It then shows some examples of modern style puppets to inspire the students. These are linked to classic fairytales and asks the students to guess the story. It then shows the worksheet for planning their own shadow puppet shows in groups.

BODY PARTS | MAKE YOUR OWN BINGO

(0)
Make your own bingo worksheet where students can choose and cut and stick to make their own bingo card. This goes with the “Body parts” powerpoint that has some fun actions to review or learn body parts, a song and an explanation of how to make the bingo card. (I don’t know why the thumbnail is messed up, its fine when opened :-) )

ROOMS OF THE HOUSE | LABELLING WORKSHEET

Worksheet where students can read and label the rooms of the house from the pictures. Good worksheet to do after introducing the vocabulary: living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom. Can also be a fun colouring activity.
