OCR Physics Magnetic flux density

(0)
This is a complete lesson covering sections 6.3.1 e and f of the OCR Physics specification- magnetic fields. It goes through how to calculate magnetic flux density both with current perpendicular to the magnetic field as well as at an angle (sin θ). It also shows how to measure magnetic flux density as well as taking students through a worked example of the practical results. The lesson includes a starter, full notes, various student led activities and a differentiated summary at the end All answers are included I actively try to reduce photocopying, so all of the lesson resources are within the PowerPoint rather than as extra sheets

This is a complete lesson covering sections 5.1.5 j of the OCR Biology specification-he co-ordination of animal responses by the endocrine and nervous system. It covers the flight and flight response as well as the role played by hormones in cell signalling using adrenaline as an example. The lesson includes a starter, full notes, various student led activities and a differentiated summary at the end. All answers are included. I actively try to reduce photocopying, so all of the lesson resources are within the PowerPoint rather than as extra sheets.

OCR Physics magnetic flux and flux linkage

(0)
This is a complete lesson covering sections 6.3.3 a and b of the OCR A level Physics specification- electromagnetism. It covers how to calculate magnetic flux from the flux density and area and how then to apply this to generation of an e.m.f… The lesson then goes on to calculate magnetic flux linkage both when the flux is perpendicular to the area of the loop and when they are at another angle. The lesson includes a starter, full notes, various student led activities and a differentiated summary at the end. All answers are included. I actively try to reduce photocopying, so all of the lesson resources are within the PowerPoint rather than as extra sheets.
OCR Biology Factors affecting photosynthesis

OCR Biology Factors affecting photosynthesis

(0)
This is a complete lesson covering sections 5.2.1 g of the OCR Biology specification- factors that affect the rate of photosynthesis. The lesson starts by discussing the limiting factors of photosynthesis. It then discusses how this can be measured and provides some data for a graph drawing and analysis exercise. There is then chance to evaluate a method and table of data to spot how it can be improved. The lesson then looks at how CAM plant and C4 plants alter photosynthesis to suit their environment. The lesson includes a starter, full notes, various student led activities and a differentiated summary at the end. All answers are included. I actively try to reduce photocopying, so all of the lesson resources are within the PowerPoint rather than as extra sheets.
OCR Biology Energy for Biological processes

AQA B1.1.1 and 1.2 cells and cell division revision

(0)
A complete lesson revising sections 4.1.2 and 4.1.2 of AQA trilogy and AQA Biology- cell structure, stem cells and cell division. It starts by reminding students of the difference between plant and animal cells before looking at microscopes and the cell cycle. The includes some summary and some exam questions to check for understanding. the lesson then moves onto stem cells covering what they are and their uses again including summary questions. The lesson closes with a series of long answer exam questions practicing evaluative techniques with a particular focus on different uses of stem cells or stem cell All answers provided Updated 2023 to reflect the return to normal exam content
OCR Physics gas laws, ideal gases + PAG8

OCR Physics gas laws, ideal gases + PAG8

(0)
A pair of lessons and a worksheet covering sections 5.1.4 a-i of the OCR Physics specification- the gas laws It covers: The gas laws The ideal gas Kinetic theory The effect of newtons Laws Internal energy PAG 8 The two lessons and the PAG take around 5 hours in total. All answers are included I generally try to reduce copying so other than the worksheet all resources are found in the lesson PPT
OCR Physics free oscillations and damping
atdewaratdewar

OCR Physics free oscillations and damping

(0)
A complete lesson covering section 5.3.3 a-e of the OCR Physics specification- free and forced oscillations and damping of SHM. This covers the difference between free and forced oscillations and the effect of resonance. It then looks at damping especially as a means of reducing the effects of resonance for example in earthquakes. Includes a starter, full notes and lots of student independent tasks. I always try to reduce photocopying so all activities are found in the PPT. All answers provided
OCR Physics gravitational potential + planetary motion
atdewaratdewar

OCR Physics gravitational potential + planetary motion

(0)
A complete lesson covering sections 5.4.3 and 5.4.4 of the OCR Physics specification- gravitational potential and planetary motion. The lesson starts by introducing gravitational potential including the various calculations. It then looks at GPE and how this can be calculated covering the fact that at GCSE students calculated changes in GPE rather than absolute values which are negative. It then looks at changes in gravitational potential and how these can be determined mathematically and graphically. The lesson then moves onto escape velocity and satellites before introducing Kepler’s three laws. The lesson includes lots of independent student tasks including practicing deriving the planetary motion equations. All answers are included I always aim to reduce photocopying so all tasks are within the PPT- 41 slides in total
